Today the market in general did almost nothing. Gapped up first thing a couple of points and by the end of the day it finished .25 cents up. We are now up to 6 straight Red Flags on the S&P 500 and it spreads through out most indexes. Every sector select ETF’s are in a down trend with the same red flags. From all indicators that I track the only single positive that I could find in todays moves is there more advances than declining shares on the market. If your long the market, specially in your retirement account, be careful and monitor the next few days carefully.
Today I was stopped out of 2 more positions and I opened one Short position in SPUX. SPXU is an ETF that trades 3x S&P 500 on the downside. As long as the market goes down, SPUX goes up. Tonight I will try and find me a couple of stocks to short in the morning.
