Ending monthly numbers for October 2013 and long term investor time.

October was a very good month for all indexes, even bonds. That one move out of the C-fund on October 9th hurt my performance compared to the L-2050, but how can I complain with a 19.41% gain for the year? It meets all my rules, so I’m very happy. As soon as my PIP is posted to my TSP account next week, I will put it up for all to see and compare with.

So it is time for the Long term investors to take their once a month look at the Monthly charts and make a decision on to stay in or pull out. Pretty simple it you do not want to watch everyday, so let’s go.

So the 3 primary indexes C,S, and I are all buys, Bonds are not. So logically an mix into C, S, and I is required. But since there is not that much bonds in any of the L-funds, all the L-funds are also buys. The more aggressive is 2050 and the least is the L.

So there you have it long term investors, since after Thanksgiving.
