End of month ends with a thud.

I did not have time to post Monday, but there was not much to talk about. Today, the last day of  November, saw the market sell off a bit but still held above $1173.57 on the S&P500. Today we got are second red flag in a row, the RSI is below 50, and MACD is falling. All signs are point to another pull back in the market, but once again I have to wait to see if there will be a break of the $1173.57. If it closes below this mark, then I will have to consider pulling all funds out of the market again as depressing as it is, but I have to let the market guide me. What is it saying? “I’m going sideways with no direction and you will have to wait and see. “ So wait is what I will do.

Today I got bounced out of IGTE because they have decided to try to take over another company, so that means the stock gets hammered. IGTE down 20% in one day and I got taken for $241.52 or 9.8% or just less than 1% of my portfolio. I also picked up a $43 dividend to help offset that loss, so it makes it even smaller. So, with my rule book in hand, I took this loser and the loser from last Wednesday and put in my largest winner, DECK. I bought another 52 shares @ $76 and will let in run.

November was overall a good month for me and could have been my best, but the last 5 to 8 trading days, I had a bad run that put me back in the hole for the year and took about a third of my monthly gains. On the positive, I made my goal this month of $50 day.

$198.52 realized profit today. November realized gain = $1886.49 AVG = $89.83 a day. Personal goal = $50 a day.  21 of 21 trading days for October complete.
