I do not know why, but this week seemed more stressful than it actually was on the market. It likely had something to do with the season and Tuesday and Wednesday when the market attempted to reverse course. But as the day closed Friday, the S&P finished the week up 1.29%.
Very late in the trading day I tried to enter into NVLS 60 shares @ $33, and at 4pm I got a partial fill of 16 shares @ $33. This was the highlight of the day as far as buying and selling. LVS is driving me nuts. It just a position I wish I hadn’t entered into and even though I have a stop loss, it is just painful watching the stock decline day after day. My theory was buy and hold for the next run, set my stop loss at the last support and see if it would run. Well, Plan A so far is not working so good. TQNT I bought Tuesday in the green ascent and since that day, it has also been in a steady decline with the third red flag printing today. This is a normal sign of a trend reversal and does not look good for this stock either. CY and ROVI my other two entries that are new are to early to call good or bad. SBUX is starting to flatten out and I squeezed my stop within 4% of closing price and will tighten further in order to secure a profit.
Now to my two hero's! LULU continued it’s march north today and I should have followed though and bought more, but sometimes life comes first and I had to go shopping with the wife. LULU was up another 5.14% today. Nice! ATML was also up $4.06% today after receiving an upgrade yesterday from UBS to $13.50. Here’s hoping these two run for awhile.
Lastly, I secured a 7% gain in ATML and 20% gain in LULU via the stop loss.
