My ending PIP for 2106 and quick looks at charts.

Someone pointed out or requested that I put my PIP back up here each month so here you go. For the month of November I remember that if was .07%. That’s right, almost break even. As of the end oy the Year and December, Your Personal Investment Performance (PIP) for the past 12 months ending 12/31/2016 is 5.33%.

The other request that I’ve been getting is to make all my reports and charts linkable so you can expand the pictures on a smart phone. I will do my best.

The first trade of 2017 was a success!! Let’s hope that is a sign of things to come for the year. Like I made note of last month, their is really something bizarre going on with of I-fund and the index that we follow. Yesterday the I-fund report a loss for the day of -.42% but the index that tracks it and the TSP page tells us it follows was up .62%. That may not look like much but that’s 1.04% swing. I need to do some share price reporting by the TSP and compare to the index side by side.

Current S&P 500 chart is shown here and what it shows is that even with the nice gain yesterday we are still stuck in a bull flag. Brightside is that we are still above the sell CBL line and above the 50 day ma.

Current Small Cap chart is also stuck in a bull flag and the brightside is that we are still above the sell CBL line and 50 day ma.

Current International index is forming a nice stair step short term trend up. I drew a new short term uptrend on the chart for you to see. Overall the chart is still a mess and it’s stil a daily sell, but this is an early sign that an uptrend structure could be forming.

Current Bond chart is showing that price closed yesterday right on the CBL buy line. Price is still below the 50 day ma, so there is still lot’s of work to do here.

So overall, 2017 started out to upside and the only thing that is a bit confusing still to me is the correlation between the I-fund reporting compare to the MSCI EAFE ETF that we have used for years. Something strange is going on because none of the other indexes are doing the same.
