I hope everyone is enjoying and reaping the rewards from the current markets. What a difference a year makes! Last year I was down 7.45% and now I am up 4.61% YTD. It does make me wonder how much longer before they market drivers finally start taking some profits and the selling begins. The S&P and Small Cap seem the most likely candidates for this to happen, but I think the International is just getting started and I hope the run will explode to the upside soon. Let’s get to the charts.
The S&P 500 made and stayed at new all time highs this week. The CBL red line keeps moving up with price as does the 50 day ma. Volatility is low which is an indication that price will continue to inch higher. The DMI is now exrtremely positive because the red line is under both other lines. Everything on this chart is almost scary positive. There is nothing to do here but to continue to ride the wave.

The Small Cap also made new all time highs this week. DMI is positive and looks to be getting ready to be extremely positive. Like the S&P, there is nothing to do here but ride the wave.

The International is working on making this breakout stick. There is still work to do to clear the zone, but it appears to be on track. I drew a new short term uptrend line and if price continues to follow that trend uphill, price should be well clear of this resistance level within 2 weeks. Volatility is low and DMI is positive, so I think we will continue up. We watch and ride for now.

Bonds definitely appears to have formed a bottom. Price has been bouncing back and forth at this level since the first of the year. Price is also flirting with a buy signal because everything is compressed here. I can tell looking at the current monthly chart, that Bonds are still far away from firing a buy signal. Volatility is negative and DMI is very sloppy and has no direction. We just sit out of Bonds unless you’re in the L-funds.

Conclusion: Not sure how much longer this party can run. We have been on this march uphill since November 4th, 2016.
